Today we celebrate the life and legacy of Nipsey Hussle, born Ermias Joseph Asghedom on August 15, 1985.

Nipsey represented something bigger than music. He was an independent artist, entrepreneur, community advocate and visionary who understood that ownership could be just as powerful as recognition.
Long before independence became one of the industryās favorite talking points, Nipsey was building his own infrastructure. From the Bullets Aināt Got No NameĀ mixtapes and the groundbreaking CrenshawĀ campaign to his long-awaited debut album Victory Lap, his career became a blueprint for patience, self-determination and believing in the value of your own work.
But his legacy reaches beyond records.
Nipsey invested in the community that raised him. He spoke about ownership, financial literacy, technology, education and creating opportunities where opportunities were often scarce. His ambition wasnāt simply to escape his environmentāit was to help transform it.
That is why his words continue to resonate.
The Marathon ContinuesĀ wasnāt just a slogan. It represented endurance. Discipline. Ownership. Building something that can survive beyond you.
Today, on what would have been his 41st birthday, we remember Nipsey Hussle not only for the music he left behind, but for the ideas, example and blueprint that continue to inspire another generation.
Happy Birthday, Nip. š
The Marathon Continues!
